Test guideline
- Qualifier:
- according to guideline
- Guideline:
- other: GB/T 19077-2016
- Principles of method if other than guideline:
- The particle size is determined according to GB/T 19077-2016: “Particle size analysis - Laser diffraction methods”. A sample, dispersed at an adequate concentration in gas, is passed through the beam of a monochromatic light source, usually a laser. The light scattered by the particles, at various angles, is measured by multi-element detectors, These numerical scattering values are then transformed, using an appropriate optical model and mathematical procedure, to yield the proportion of the total volume of particles to a discrete number of size classes forming a volumetric particle size distribution (PSD).
