Reference
Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
According to the Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (Version 4.1, June 2015), the oxidising properties do not need to be determined if 'the substance or mixture contains oxygen, fluorine or chlorine and these elements are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen." The oxygen atoms are bonded with H or S atoms (H2SO4 is not classified as oxidising) or form a stable complex by interacting with Cu atoms. Therefore, oxidising properties are not expected.

Description of key information

No chemical groups associated with oxidising properties are present.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising
