Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Burning time:
2 min
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test item was not ignited after contacting with fire for 2 min. Based on the test results, the test item is not considered highly flammable.

Description of key information

Flammable solids:

The test item was not ignited after contacting with fire for 2 min. Based on the test results, the test item is not considered highly flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Flammable solids:

Flammability, EC A10, not highly flammable: In pretest process, the test item was not ignited after contacting with fire for 2 min. After removing the ignition source, no more glowing or propagation of combustion was observed.

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, table 2.7.1, the substance should not be classified for this endpoint.

Pyrophoric solids:

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 section 2.10.4.1, the classification procedure

for pyrophoric solids need not be applied when experience in manufacture or handling shows that the substance or mixture does not ignite spontaneously on coming into contact with air at normal temperatures (i.e. the substance is known to be stable at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days)). As the substance is known to be stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days), so the classification procedure for pyrophoric solids does not need to be applied.

Substances and mixtures which in contact with water emit flammable gases:

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 section 2.12.4.1 (a), the classification procedure for this class need not be applied if the chemical structure of the substance or mixture does not contain metals or metalloids. As no metals or metalloids present in the molecule of this substance, so the classification procedure for this class need not be applied for this substance.
