Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Accuracy checking:

The calibration of the instrument was verified at 20.0°C with cyclohexane as a reference substance just before the determinations. The results were:

Cyclohexane: reference value: 0.779 g/ml - instrument reading: 0.779 g/ml

The results are within the precision of the instrument (± 0.001 g/ml).

Density determination:

The results obtained with GR-87-7596 at 20.0°C were:

first sample: d = 0.895 g/ml

second sample: d = 0.895 g/ml

average (rounded off): d = 0.895 g/ml or : D(20-4) = 0.895

The estimated precision is: ± 0.001 g/ml.

Conclusions:
density = 0.895 +/- 0.001 g/ml at 20°C
or D 420 = 0.895 +/- 0.001
Executive summary:

The density of GR-87-7596 was determined according to the OECD guideline No. 109 (oscillating densitimeter method). The result can be expressed as follows:

density = 0.895 +/- 0.001 g/ml at 20°C

or D 420 = 0.895 +/- 0.001
