Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
12.05.2017
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
study well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, acceptable for assessment
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
- Principle of test: Gas displacement Pycnometry with Helium
Instrument: Micromeritics AccuPyc // TEC 1340

- Short description of test conditions:
The weighed sample is sealed in the instrument compartment of known volume, Helium is admitted, and then expanded into another precision
internal volume. The pressures observed upon filling the sample chamber and
then discharging it into a second empty chamber allow computation of the sample
solid phase volume. There are 10 cycles from which the sample volume is determined, and the density is calculated by dividig this by the mass.

- Parameters analysed / observed:
Sample Mass / Equilibrium rate, Temperature, Expansion volume
GLP compliance:
no
