Based on the read-across with Lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imid, Sodium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide is considered as harmful to aquatic invertebrates (48h EC50 of 14 mg/l). According to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 for the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP), Sodium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide is to be classified as harmful to the aquatic environment category Chronic 3; H412 (Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects) based on the non-rapid degradability and the daphnia 48h EC50 of 14 mg/L.
