A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of the test material to Daphnia magna. The method followed that described in the OECD TG 202 and conducted at the GLP-facility (reliability of the study 1, according to the scoring system of Klimisch et al., 1997). It was considered justifiable to base the results on the geometric mean measured concentrations to give a 'worst case' analysis of the data. The 48-Hour EC50 for the test material to Daphnia magna based on the geometric mean measured concentrations was 3.5 mg/l with 95% confidence limits of 3.0 – 4.1 mg/l. The No Observed Effect Concentration was 1.5 mg/l.
Only one study is available for this endpoint and this will be submitted as a key study for triisopropylsilyl acrylate. The 48-Hour EC50 for the test material to Daphnia magna based on the geometric mean measured concentrations was 3.5 mg/l with 95% confidence limits of 3.0 – 4.1 mg/l.
