Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The available ecotoxicological data are based on triisopropylsilanol, one of the hydrolytic products of triisopropylsilyl acrylate. Therefore, the PNECs were derived based on the information of triisopropylsilanol.

Due to the lack of relevant experimental data for the calculations of PNEC in sediment and in soil, the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM) was used. The following physcicochemical properties of triisopropylsilanol were used for derivation of PNECs in soil and sediment.

Molecular weight: 174.36

Water solubility: < 0.7 mg/l at 20°C

Estimated log Pow: 3.8684

Estimated vapour pressure: 1.25 Pa at 25°C

PNEC oral is not submitted due to the lack of the relevant data at this level of registration.

Conclusion on classification

Triisopropylsilyl acrylate is classified as R50 Very toxic to aquatic organisms, and R53 May cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment under Council Directive 67/548/EEC and Chronic Category 1, H410: Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects / Acute Category 1, H400: Very toxic to aquatic life, with M-factor of 10, under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 with available ecotoxicological information.
