Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
INHALATION : As the need arises, seek medical advice.
SKIN : Wash with plenty of water. As the need arises, seek medical advice.
EYES : Flush eyes immediately with large amounts of water for several minutes.
Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
INGESTION : Rinse mouth thoroughly, and get immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES
Flash point : Unmeasurable (polymerizes at 270℃)
Flammable limits in air : LEL = n.av. UEL = n.av.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA : Carbon dioxide, foam and dry chemical powder.
FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS : On combustion, generates toxic gases (e.g., carbon monoxide,
nitrogen oxides).
FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT : Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Wear protections (e.g. protective gloves, goggles and gas respirator) during work.
Prevent the spilled material entering into river or sewers.
Use tools not to spark.
Small Spill and Leak: After wiping with waste, burn the spill/leak.
Large Spill and Leak: After recovering in a drum, etc., proceed according to disposal manual.
Handling and storage
Caution; Combustible.
HANDLING : Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces.
Establish a washing equipment for eyes and body near the handling area.
Wear adequate protections (e.g., protective gloves and goggles, etc).
STORAGE : Store in cool, well ventilated place and keep container closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
ENGINEERING CONTROLS : Establish a washing equipment for eyes and body near the
handling area.
EXPOSURE LIMIT : n.ap.
PERSONAL PROTECTION
Respiratory protection: As the need arises, use an effective mask.
Hand protection : Protective gloves.
Eye protection : Protective goggles.
Skin protection : Wear anti-electrostatic work clothes and safety shoes.
Stability and reactivity
REACTIVITY : Heating with alkaline-substances causes saponification.
STABILITY : Stable under the ordinary storage conditions.
May polymerize with heat, oxides, peroxides, and light.
POSSIBILITY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS: Polymerizes on contact with oxidizing agents,
peroxides, rust, copper compounds and amines.
CONDITIONS TO AVOID : Avoid contact with heating, oxidizing agents and peroxides.
INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS: Strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, peroxides, iron rusts.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS : Nitrogen oxides.
Disposal considerations
May be burned in an adequate incinerator in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Any disposal practice must be in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
(contact local or state environmental agency for specific rules).
