Description of key information

No evidence of carcinogenicity was observed in rats exposed to isosorbide mononitrate in thier diets. The read-across approach is applied in order to transfer the isosorbide mononitrate information to isosorbide dinitrate.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Directive 67/548/EEC and to Regulation (EC) n. 1272/2008, the substance should not be classified for carcinogenicity.
