The test material was purged through test media for different periods of time at a rate of 20 mL/min. The gas flow was assessed using a soap-bubble flow meter. To incease the availablity of CO2 for the alga when inclubated in a closed vessel, extra NaHCO3 was added resultin in a concentration of 100mg/L. - Test organisms (species):

- Remarks:
- Although the pH range from time 0 to 72 hours varied by more than 1.5 units, this was due to the study being conducted in a closed system. This change in pH did not effect the exponential algal growth and was not considered to adversely affected the study
- Conclusions:
- In an OECD TG 201 and EU method C3 followed toxicity study on green algae, the ErC50 and NOErC values of the test substance were determined to be > 170 and 170 mg/L, respectively, based on mean measured concentrations.
