Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:

Justification for type of information:
No experimental testing was possible according to Method C.7 Abiotic Degradation, Hydrolysis as a Function of pH of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008, and OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals No. 111, 13 April 2004, for the following reasons:

• Method EC C.7 / OECD 111 is not suitable for UVCB substances, as monitoring of individual components and degradation products would be extremely difficult.

• An analytical method with sufficient specificity, accuracy and sensitivity, required for Method EC C.7 / OECD 111, is not available due to the complex nature of the test item. The test item presented a distinct Tyndall beam for various tests, was confirmed to be surface-active in the surface tension test and had measured water solubility values that varied by greater than 15%.

Description of key information

The hydrolysis study was waived as testing was not technically feasible.
