Description of key information

Flammability:

Flammability of the test item was tested according to EU Method A.10 in a non-GLP study. The test item could not be ignited with a flame, The test item softened in contact with the flame. The performance of the main test was not necessary. The test item is not a highly flammable solid in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.10.

Flammability, contact with water:

The test material does not contain structural components associated with pyrophoricity and/or flammability on contact with water, therefore, it can be concluded that the test material exhibit no risk for pyrophoricity and/or flammability on contact with water. No study is required.

Flammability, pyrophoric solids:

The study is scientifically not necessary, because the substance is known to be stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days), therefore, it can be concluded that the test material exhibit no risk for pyrophoricity.

Flammability, self-heating substances:

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test item could not be ignited with a flame, The test item softened in contact with the flame. The performance of the main test was not necessary.

The test item is not a highly flammable solid in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.10.

Based on the physical state and the structural elements the substance has not to be classified as flammable in contact with water, nor as pyrophoric solid, nor as self-heating substance.
