In accordance with REACh Annex VII / column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.
According to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria and screening procedure (as listed in appendix 6 to the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria (6th revised edition, 2015) or in the ECHA endpoint specific guidance on information requirements (R.7a, v6.0, July 2017, §R.7.1.11), NO REACTIVE GROUP was identified in the chemical structures of the constituents.
Then explosive properties are not anticipated, and the acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply, no further testing is required. - Endpoint:

Therefore the result is inconclusive with regard to classification. - Executive summary:
The thermal stability of the test substance was tested with Differential Thermal Analysis, in accordance with conditions recommended in UN MTC screening procedure.
Two successive exotherms were recorded, up to the maximum test temperature of 400°C, but the energy released was limited, resp. about 8 and 264 J/g.

According to the screening procedure described in CLP, no structural alert was identified, which is sufficient for purpose.
Moreover, a DTA/DSC analysis was available as reliable supporting study, with a maximum decomposition energy observed of 264 J/g at 369°C. The test was not complete (not conducted up to 500°C), but the peak profile, wide and flat, suggest that the reaction is not particularly violent.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The chemical structures of the constituents of the substance meet the exemption criteria (no structural alert). The acceptance procedure does not apply.
