Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Substance is not considered to meet criteria for PBT. Based on available studies, substance is not B and not T. No conclusion on P properties is possible due to lack of data.

Results of biodegradability closed bottle test following the OECD 301D guidelines determined that benzylated polyamine is not readily biodegrade over the course of the 28-day test, nor it is inhibitory to biodegradation of a reference compound. No other data are available.

Partition coefficient N-octanol/water was determined for the test material using flask method according OECD 107 guidance. The determined logKow for individual components of the substance is between 0.01 and 2.02 so substance is not considered bioaccumulative.

Effect of benzylated polyamine on the growth rate of  Freshwater Alga (more sensitive species) was examined using OECD 201: 2006 test method. Determined IC10 endpoint was 0.4457 mg/L. The IC50 endpoint was determined to be 2.7662 mg/L. Based on these results substance is not considered T.
