First-aid measures

- Following inhalation: In case of excessive inhalation remove the person to fresh air and keep at rest in a comfortable position. Obtain medical advice immediately.
- Following skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing (Wash before re-use). Wash off skin immediately with plenty of water, using soap if available. If any sign of tissue damage or persistant irritation is apparent, obtain medical advice immediately. Substance may cause an allergic skin reaction.
- Following eye contact: Rinse the eyes immediately with plenty of water for at least ten minutes. If any sign of tissue damage or persistant irritation isapparant, obtain medical advice immediately.
- Following ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Flamable liquid. Hazardous thermal decomposition products: CO/CO2, Smoke.
- Advice for fire fighter: Avoid inhalation of smoke and fumes. In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions: Gloves and eye protection should be worn when handling spillages. Avoid flames or other potential sources of ignition. Avoid skin/eye contact and inhalation of vapour. Good personal washing routines should be followed after accidental release. Ensure adequate ventilation in working areas following accidental release.
- Environmental precautions: Do not allow discharge into drains, soil or any aquatic environment.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Remove all sources of ignition. Provide effective ventilation. Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment. Absorb spillages on porous inert material such as earth, sand or vermiculite and dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Large spillages should be contained by use of sand or other inert mateiral, transferred to suitable container and recovered or disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Handle in accordance with good occupational hygene and safety practices in a well ventilated area. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment. Wear personal protectove equipment. Wash hands after use. Remove protective equipment and contaminated clothing before entering eating areas. Avoid breathing vapours especially if the material is hot.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store indoors at a constant temperature, if possible about 15°C in well ventilated conditions in full, sealed, opaque containers. Keep away from sources of ignition. Avoid oxidising agents.
- Uses and applications: Fragrances.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Appropriate engineering controls: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment.
- Hand protection: Wear impervious gloves.
- Body protection: Wear protective clothing.
- Eye protection: Wear eye protection (e.g. Safety glasses/goggles).
- Respiratory protection: Where ventilation may be inadequate, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Stability and reactivity

- Chemical stability : Stable at ambient temperatures.
- Possibility of hazardous reactions : n/a.
- Incompatible materials : Avoid oxidising agents.
- Hazardous decomposition products: Hazardous thermal decomposition products.

Disposal considerations

Dispose in accordance with local regulations. Avoid release into drainage systems and into the environment.
