Additional information

The chemical oxygen demand and biochemical oxygen demand of the Taicros-TMT has been determined in two studies according to national guidelines. However, no elevated oxygen consumption could be measured in the studies.

Biodegradation has also been investigated of the source substance (TMT, CAS 17766 -26 -6)) in a GLP-study using domestic activated sludge as inoculum. This study has been carried out with TMT 15 according to OECD guideline 302 B. Under the test conditions, no biodegradation of the substance was observed. In accordance to the results of the study, which have been considered in an analogous read-across approach, readily biodegradation of the registered test substance is not expected.
