First-aid measures
Protection of first aiders First aid personnel should wear appropriate protective equipment during any rescue.
Notes for the doctor Treat symptomatically.
* Inhalation - Move affected person to fresh air and keep warm and at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues
* Ingestion - Get medical attention immediately. Aspiration hazard if swallowed. Entry into the lungs following ingestion or vomiting may cause chemical pneumonitis. Do not induce vomiting.
* Skin contact - Irritating to skin. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
* Eye contact - Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder. Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
No action shall be taken without appropriate training or involving any personal risk. Containers close to fire should be removed or cooled with water. Fight fire from safe distance or protected location. Keep upwind to avoid inhalation of gases, vapours, fumes and smoke.
Equipment for Firefighters: Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective
clothing.
Accidental release measures
Do not discharge into drains or watercourses or onto the ground. Avoid the spillage or runoff entering drains, sewers or watercourses. Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must be reported immediately to the Environmental Agency or other appropriate regulatory body.
Collect spillage and dispose of it to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with the requirements of the local Waste Disposal Authority.
Handling and storage
Use only in well-ventilated areas.
Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources.
Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Earth container and transfer equipment to eliminate sparks from static electricity.
Use explosion-proof electrical, ventilating and lighting equipment.
Storage precautions: Store in tightly-closed, original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Store locked
up. Keep away from oxidising materials, heat and flames.
Storage class: Flammable liquid storage.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Ensure ventilation is adequate; use explosion-proof electrical, ventilating and lighting equipment.
Wear eye protection. Personal protective equipment for eye and face protection should comply with European Standard EN166.
Hand protection: it is recommended that chemical-resistant, impervious gloves are worn. To protect hands from chemicals, gloves should comply with European Standard EN374.
Other skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing as protection against splashing or contamination.
Respiratory protection: If ventilation is inadequate, suitable respiratory protection must be worn.
Emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensure they comply with the requirements of environmental protection legislation. In some cases, fume scrubbers, filters or engineering modifications to the process equipment will be necessary to reduce emissions to acceptable levels. Store in a demarcated bunded area to prevent release to drains and/or watercourses.
Stability and reactivity
* There are no known reactivity hazards associated with this product.
* Stable at normal ambient temperatures and when used as recommended.
* Under normal conditions of storage and use, no hazardous reactions will occur.
* Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame.
* Avoid contact with the following materials: Oxidising agents.
* Heating may generate the following products: Carbon dioxide (CO2). Carbon monoxide (CO).
Disposal considerations
The generation of waste should be minimised or avoided wherever possible. Dispose of waste to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with the requirements of the local Waste Disposal Authority.
