Aquatic acute toxicity

- Fish (freshwater): LL50 (96 h): > 100 mg/L (Cyprinus carpio, OECD 203, based on the nominal concentration)

- Aquatic invertebrates (freshwater): EL50 (48 h): > 100 mg/L (Daphnia magna, OECD 202, based on the nominal concentration)

- Algae (freshwater): ErL50 (72 h) > 100 mg/L (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, OECD 201, based on the nominal concentration)

Aquatic chronic toxicity

- Algae (freshwater): ErL10 (72 h) > 100 mg/L (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, OECD 201, based on the nominal concentration)


Conclusion on Classification

Based on the data above the substance (EC 950-278-0) is not rapidly biodegradable. Acute toxicity data are available for three trophic levels (fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae) whereas chronic toxicity was only investigated for aquatic algae. No toxicity was recorded up to the maximum soluble concentration in all available studies. Therefore the substance does not need to be classified according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and all further amendments (ATPs) based on the available data.
