Conc. based on:
test mat.
Incubation duration:
24 - 72 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
2.4
Details on results:
For the main test three flasks were prepared with an amount of test item and water and one flask only with water. After stirring and centrifugation the aqueous phases were measured by means of HPLC. The solution of each flask has been measured twice at 20 °C.
To verify the accuracy of the analytical method two fresh prepared standard solutions (prepared with the test item) were measured in between the samples of the flask method. The recovery rate of the measured standard solutions was in the range from 98.3 to 103.0 %, which shows a good accuracy of the analytical method.

PRELIMINARY TEST
The water solubility of the test item was between 28.4 and 63.8 g/l.

Conclusions:

Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determined in accordante with the method and procedures outlined into the OECD guideline 105.

A preliminary test for solubility was carried out for the decision whether the column elution method or the flask method has to be used for the performance of the main test. The solubility of the test item was higher than 10 mg/l. Therefore, the flask method was used for the main test.

The concentration in the clear aqueous phase was determined by HPLC-UV-Vis validate method. The pH of each sample was recorded.

The water solubility of the test item resulted to be 12.87 g/l at 20 °C and pH 2.4.

Conclusion

Water solubility: 12.87 g/l at 20 °C and pH 2.4.
