Description of key information

Two test reports with the registered test substance are available:

A first test was performed according to OECD 301 B test criteria over 28d. After 28 d the degradation reached 21 % without reaching the plateau.

In a second test , the degradation of the test item was tested in an extended OECD 301 B test for 60 days.. The degradation extend at the end of the test was 65% . On day 28 the degradation extent was 31 ±14% (mean ±SD).

Therefore, test item can be evaluated as inherently biodegradable under enhanced test conditions in this CO2 evolution test based on the quantitative determination of the formed carbon dioxide in the test substance assays.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable, fulfilling specific criteria
Type of water:
freshwater
