Additional information

No data are available for the toxicity of vanadylhydrogenphosphate-hemihydrate (CAS 93280 -40 -1) to terrestrial organisms. Therefore, data available for other vanadium compounds is used in a read-across approach.

An OECD guideline study is available for the effects of sodium metavanadate (CAS 13718 -26 -8) to Folsomia candida (ISO 11267) (Lanno, 2016; Ohio University). The study was performed under GLP. The arthropods were exposed to spiked natural soils which were tested immediately after spiking and also after ageing. Test concentrations were verified using ICP-OES after aqua regia digestion of the soil samples. The results are based on Vanadium concentrations.

For the assessment of the toxicity of di vanadyl pyrophosphate (CAS no. 65232 -89-5), the effect value based on the vanadium concentration must be corrected for the molecular weight of divanadyl pyrophosphate (33.1 % V). The corrected effect values are given above (see “Description of key information”).
