First-aid measures

General information: Take the victim out of the contaminated area. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of safely.

After inhalation: Move to fresh air. Make the victim blow his nose. Seek medical advice.

After contact with skin: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If inflammation occurs, alert a physician.

After contact with eyes: Rinse with plenty of lukewarm water for approx. 15 minutes (with open eyes). If discomfort occurs, seek medical help.

After ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Make the victim rinse his mouth with water.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water, dry powder, carbon dioxide or alcohol-resistant foam.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Fire may liberate toxic gases and fumes, carbon and nitrogen oxides.

Advice for fire-fighters: Usual protective equipment, self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Environmental precautions: To protect underground water of pollution of this material.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Sprinkle spilled substance with water, sweep up carefully and place into impermeable containers. Use only tools from non-sparking material. Incinerate only in the approved place in accordance with national regulations relating to explosives.

Handling and storage


Specifically the substance is rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle; procedural and control technologies are used to minimise emissions and any resulting exposures; only properly trained and authorised personnel handle the substance; special procedures such as purging and washing are applied during cleaning and maintenance works, in cases of accident and where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies are used to minimise emissions and the resulting exposures; and substance-handling procedures are well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.


Store in a cool, dry place. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Store according to national regulations relating to explosives. Keep only in original containers under temperature not higher than 35 °C, out of reach of sources of ignition.
