Principles of method if other than guideline:
The flash point (closed-cup) can be determined according to “10.2 Procedure A” in ASTM D6450-12E1 by a Pensky-Martens closed-cup tester. After the sample is loaded into the testing cup of the tester, heat it evenly. When the sample temperature approaches the flash point, ignition could be applied and note the temperature when flash occurs.
