EC number: 219-774-8 | CAS number: 2528-39-4
non flammable no pyrophoricity no flammability on contact with water
Based on flash point and boiling point, the substance trihexyl phosphate (CAS No. 2528-39-4) is a non flammable liquid.
Based on experience in handling and use and the chemical structure, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not to be expected.
The substance is not self-heating, because it is a liquid. Liquids do not demonstrate self-heating properties, unless they are absorbed on a large surface.
The available data on flammability of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and they are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification:
Based on flash point and boiling point the substance is a non flammable liquid.
Based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not expected.
As a liquid, the substance is not self-heating. Liquids do not demonstrate self-heating properties, unless they are absorbed on a large surface.
