Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling Point)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
differential thermal analysis
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
>= 220 °C

An initial exothermic peak was observed between 342 and 350°C, likely caused by thermal decomposition of the substance (extrapolated peak temperature 347°C). An additional exothermic peak was observed between 350 and 368°C also likely caused by the thermal decomposition of the substance (extrapolated peak temperature 360°C). Based on the weight curve, the first loss of temperature occured at around 220°C, likely cause by thermal decomposition of the substance.

Conclusions:
No peaks corresponding to boiling temperature were observed at which thermal decomposition of the test substance began at around 220°C. Therefore the substance decomposes and no boiling temperature could be determined.

Description of key information

No peaks corresponding to boiling temperature were observed at which thermal decomposition of the test substance began at around 220°C. Therefore the substance decomposes and no boiling temperature could be determined.
