Remarks:
time dependent solubility characteristics were identified during the evaluations
Details on results:
A time dependent solubility trend was obtained on analysis of the main test. This indicated likely hydrolysis or an alternative transformation mechanism was influencing the total dissolved titanium concentration of the sample solutions. Data from sample solutions generated with a reduced exposure period to water resulted in an increased analyzed concentration and the maximum concentration achieved was therefore taken as the definitive water solubility result. The potential reactivity with water was also further indicated by visual observations recorded on addition of the test item to aqueous media, with the appearance of the visible undissolved material rapidly changing from a clear amber colored liquid to that of a white precipitate/dispersion.

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item was determined to be equivalent to 1.01 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, derived from the maximum observed titanium concentration of 0.127 g/L. However time dependent solubility characteristics were identified during the evaluations.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determined to be equivalent to 1.01 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, derived from the maximum observed titanium concentration of 0.127 g/L. However time dependent solubility characteristics were identified during the evaluations.
