Executive summary:

This study was conducted to determine the viscosity of the test substance Trihexyltetradecylphosphonium chloride by rheometer DHR-3 with parallel plate system. The sample was found to be shear thinning at higher shear rates at 20°C and hence a zero shear viscosity was calculated by fitting Cross model. The viscosity of the test material was found to be 3416 mPa.s at 20°C
