Description of key information

The active substance fenitrothion is reasonably stable to hydrolysis at environmentally relevant pH and temperatures and is not classified as readily biodegradable. Fenitrothion has a soil sorption coefficient Koc value in the range 252 -1966 g/mL (n=8, average 1036 g/mL) depending on soil type and is classified as having medium to low mobility according to the McCall classification.  There was no pH dependency on the soil adsorption and desorption for fenitrothion.
