Result

At room temperature the substance is a solid powder.

Three endothermic effects were visible between 25 °C and 450 °C. A steep signal was detected between approx. 45 °C - 85 °C indicating a melting point. The second endothermic effect occurred between approx. 90 °C and 175 °C. Between approx. 300 °C and 350 °C there was another endothermic effect. At the end of the heating process a reddish-black melted residue remained in the crucible.

 

After the first endothermic effect (melting) the sample transitioned into a reddish-black, melted residue, which indicates decomposition of the test item. The enthalpy of fusion is determined to be < 300 J/g.
