No effect was seen on the acetylcholine-, histamine- and Ba++ - induced contractions on the isolated ileum.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In this study, the test substance did not affect contractions of Guinea pig ileum preparations in vitro.
Executive summary:

In this study effects of the test substance on the autonomic nervous system were studiedin vitropreparations of Guinea pig ileum at concentrations of E-4, E-5, E-6, E-7 g/mL. The test substance was dissolved in dimethylsufloxide.

Measurements were performed on preparations of Guinea pig ileum. Contractile responses were induced by acetylcholine, histamine, or barium chloride (BaCl2). After a stable response of each agonist was obtained, each agonist was repeatedly added in the presence of vehicle or test substance with about 5 minutes incubation.

No effect was seen on the acetylcholine-, histamine- and Ba++ - induced contractions on the isolated ileum.

In conclusion, the test substance did not affect contractions of Guinea pig ileum preparations in vitro.
