Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

A GLP-study was performed with the test substance according to OECD 203. The 96 h- LC50 was determined to be 530 mg/L.

Long-term toxicity to fish

In accordance with section 9.1 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation, the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I does not indicate the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms. The chemical safety assessment as documented in the chemical safety report indicates that the test substance is not hazardous to the environment and the risks for the use of the test substance are controlled.A further refinement of the PNECs for the aquatic compartment with long-term toxicity data on fish (early-life stage) is not required (see further details in Chapter 13 "Justification for non-performance of the studies" (attached document and discussion)).

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute toxicity of the test substance to Daphnia magna was determined according to OECD 202 (2004). The 48h-EC50 was determined to be 424 mg/L.

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

In accordance with section 9.1 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation, the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I does not indicate the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms. The chemical safety assessment as documented in the chemical safety report indicates that the test substance is not hazardous to the environment and the risks for the use of the test substance are controlled. A further refinement of the PNECs for the aquatic compartment with long-term toxicity data of aquatic invertebrates is not required (see further details in Chapter 13 "Justification for non-performance of the studies" (attached document and discussion)).

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

A Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata growth inhibition test was performed according to the EC regulation 761/2009 Part C.3 and the OECD-Guideline 201 (2006) to determine the possible effects of the test substance on the growth of a unicellular green algal species. After 72 hours the ErC50 was determined to be 67.4 mg/L and the NOEC was determined to be 10.4 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganisms

A study on toxicity to microorganisms was performed according to the OECD 209. After 3 hours the EC50 was determined to be > 300 mg/L and the NOEC was determined to be 300 mg/L.

Sediment Toxicity

A sediment toxicity test was performed according to OECD 218. The 28-day NOEC was determined to be ≥31.5 mg a.i./kg dry sediment (corresponding to 69.6 mg test item /kg dry sediment). The 28-day LOEC was >31.5 mg a.i./kg dry sediment (corresponding to 69.6 mg test item /kg dry sediment).
