Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately.Inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. In the event of symptoms take medical treatment.Skin contact: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water. Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.Eye contact: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice.Ingestion: Thoroughly clean the mouth with water. Call for medical advice immediately; show this safety data sheet.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing mediaSuitable extinguishing media: foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, water spray.Unsuitable extinguishing media: Full water jetSpecial hazards arising from the substance or mixtureIn the event of fire the following can be released:- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)- Hydrogen chloride (HCl)- carbon dioxide, carbon monoxideAdvice for firefightersDo not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases.Use self-contained breathing apparatus and wear protective suit.Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:High risk of slipping due to leakage/spillage of product.Ensure adequate ventilation.Use personal protective equipment.Environmental precautions:Do not allow to enter drains or waterways.Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:Pick up with absorbent material (e.g. general-purpose binder).Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handlingAdvice on safe handling: When working with the product vapors/aerosols may be evolved; therefore a local exhaust and ventilation are recommended.Hygiene measures: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately. Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Wash hands before breaks and after work. Do not eat, drink or smoke when working.General protective measures: Do not inhale gases/vapours/aerosols. Avoid contact with eyes and skinConditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilitiesPrevention of fire and explosion: Vapours can form an explosive mixture with air. Cool endangered containers by water spray.Storage: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety glassesHand protection: PVC glovesBody Protection: Light protective clothing. A protective ointment is recommended.Respiratory protection: In case of formation of vapours/aerosols: Respiratory protection mask with combination filter A-P2.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: The product is stable under normal conditions.Possibility of hazardous reactions: No hazardous reactions with proper storage and handling.Conditions to avoid: None knownHazardous decomposition products: Hydrogen chloride (HCl)
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methodsProduct: In accordance with regulations for special waste, must be taken, after pretreatment, to an authorised special waste incineration plant.Contaminated packaging: If empty contaminated containers are recycled or disposed of, the receiver must be informed about possible hazards.
