Purity: 99%
Expiry date: 28 April 2019
Date received: 28 April 2017
Boiling pt.:
< 270 °C
Atm. press.:
1 021 mBar
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
270 °C
Remarks on result:
not determinable

Barometric pressure: 1021 mbar

DSC showed a broad exotherm from approximately 270°C which indicated decomposition of the test item and a sharp endotherm at 330°C, possibly due to boiling of the decomposed sample. The earlier endotherm was consistent with the melting temperature.

A solid brown residue was present in the crucible at the end of the test.

Conclusions:
The boiling temperature of Triazolone was not determinable as the test item decomposed at temperatures above approximately 270°C before boiling.
Executive summary:

A study was performed to determine some physicochemical properties of the test item, Triazolone. The methods followed are amongst those described in Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 and the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals. The physicochemical properties which have been determined in this study are detailed below, together with the result obtained for each test.

The boiling temperature of Triazolone was not determinable as the test item decomposed at temperatures above approximately 270°C before boiling.

Description of key information

The boiling temperature of Triazolone was not determinable as the test item decomposed at temperatures above approximately 270°C before boiling.
