Description of key information
The substance is considered to not flammable based on the results of an EU A.10 study. Furthermore, the substance is not pyrophoric and does not emit flammable gases when in contact with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification
In the preliminary screening test no propagation of the flame over 100 mm was observed throughout the course of the test. Therefore the test substance 2,2'-Azobis (4 -methoxy-2,4 -dimethyl valeronitrile) is considered as not "highly flammable" (EU A.10) under test conditions, although the test substance burnt vigorously.
