Description of key information

The water solubility was determined according to the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals no. 105: "Shake flak method" (July 27, 1995). The water solubility was determined to be 797 mg/L given as weight of Al2O3 at pH 12.7.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
800 mg/L
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The test substance was prepared at 30°C by shaking for five days. After equilibration to 25 +-1°C the concentration was measured by ICP-OES. The pH of each test solution was between 12.65 and 12.74. A water solubility of 797 mg/L was reported, given as weight of Al2O3.
