Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Treat symptomatically.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with running water for ten minutes. If irritation
develops or persists seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove any contaminated clothing. Wash the affected area
with soap and water. If irritation develops seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Carbon dioxide, dry
powder, foam, sand earth, or water mist. For larger fires
use foam and water mist.
Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Carbon oxides and soot.
Protective equipment: Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus
is recommended when tackling larger fires.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and goggles. Do
not breathe vapours or aerosols, wear a suitable
respirator. Moisten the spill and collect up for disposal
in labelled waste containers. Do not allow the substance to
enter waste-water systems.
Handling and storage
Handling: Filling operations: Avoid the formation of aerosols and
inhalation of dust; filling, weighing and dosing should be
carried out under local exhaust ventilation (capacity 0.8
mls max). Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and
goggles, head covering and rubber boots, if exposure cannot
be avoided. For vapour or aerosols a respirator with an
appropriate filter for adsorption of organic vapours should
be worn.
Storage: Store in a well ventilated area, in undamaged, unbreakable
closed and labelled drums. Avoid substance residues
collecting on the drums.

Special provisions / remarks
- Remarks:
- Transport: Transport in sealed undamaged, unbreakable drums with
appropriate labelling. Secure containers against falling
down or slipping. Remove residues from containers before
transporting. Do not transport without instruction card for
accidents.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Other dangers: The substance slowly decomposes in the
presence of strong acids and oxidisers.
Chemical reaction with water: Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None available
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance can be disposed of at a licensed landfill
site.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Incineration at a licensed facility is
possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain
