Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae. No acute toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to OECD 201 and GLP a short-term toxicity test has been conducted using Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (Springborn Laboratories, Inc. 1998). Due to the low solubility of the test substance water accommodated fractions have been used. After 96 h of exposure no effects up to the solubility of the test substance have been observed. The EC50 (growth rate) was determined to be above 0.64 mg/L and the NOEC (growth rate) was determined to be at least 0.64 mg/L (measured). The test concentration is the highest test substance concentration that could be determined by using a saturated solution. Therefore, the test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae.
