Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

key study
Study period:
04/0502018 - 25/05/2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Moisture (wt %):
3
Remarks on result:
other: The test item ignited but failed to propogate before self-extinguishing.
Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The test item was determined to be not highly flammable as it did not propagate combustion over 200 mm.
Executive summary:

A burn rate test compatible with Method A.10 Flammability (Solids) was performed on 1-Propanaminium, N-(3-aminopropyl)-2-hydroxy-N,N-dimethyl-3-sulfo-, N-coco acyl derivs., hydroxides, inner salts to determine its flammability. The test item ignited giving a blue-yellow flame and light grey fumes, however, the flame failed to propagate before self-extinguishing. The result of the preliminary test obviated the need to perform the main test.

Description of key information
