- Conclusions:
- The study was performed according to EU method A.15 under GLP, the validity criteria were fulfilled. Hence, the results can be considered as sufficiently reliable to determined the self-ignition temperature of the test item. All measured values show good correlation. No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome. The auto ignition temperature (result of determination) is the lowest value from the lowest values of the three experiments, i.e. 241°C, 242°C, and 242°C, rounded down to a whole multiple of 5 °C. Therefore, the auto ignition temperature is stated as 240 °C.
- Executive summary:
The auto-ignition temperature of 2-(1-methylpiperidin-2yl) ethanol was determined according to EU A.15 under GLP. The auto-ignition temperature was determined in three independent determinations.
A lowest value of the main test of 241 °C was found. Therefore, the auto-ignition temperature according to EU A.15 (rounded down to a whole multiple of 5 °C) of 2-(1-methylpiperidin-2yl) ethanol, is stated as 240 °C.
