- Atm. press.:
- 760 mm Hg
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- The flash point of 1,1'-isophthaloylbis(2-methylaziridine) was 100.5 °C under atmospheric conditions (760 mm Hg) according to ASTM D3828.
- Executive summary:
The flash point of 1,1'-isophthaloylbis(2-methylaziridine) was tested using a closed-cup method. The flash point was determined with temperature steps of 1 °C. The test material ignited at 100 °C but did not ignite at 99 °C at 747.8 mm Hg. The lowest flash point corrected to 760 mm Hg was rounded down to the nearest 0.5 °C, and was determined at 100.5 °C. The study was conducted in accordance with ASTM D3828 and under ISO170255; therefore the study is considered reliable without restrictions.
The test material ignited at 100 °C but did not ignite at 99 °C at 747.8 mm Hg. The flash point was corrected to a pressure of 760 mm Hg using the formula:
FP = T + 0.03(760-P)
T = Observed flash point temperature (°C)
P = Barometric pressure (mm Hg)
The corrected temperature is rounded to the nearest 0.5 °C.
