Additional information

As the CHIMEXANE HB is always placed on the market in 45%w/w of water, the description of the registered pure substance as identified under section 1 is not considered to be relevant.

The CHIMEXANE HB, as placed on the market, appears to be a colourless to light yellow, translucent to slightly opaque gel at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.

According to the CLP regulation (regulation (CE) N°1272/2008)

"Liquid means a substance or mixture which:

(i) at 50°C has a vapour pressure of not more than 300 kPa (3 bar);

(ii) is not completely gaseous at 20 °C and at a standard pressure of 101,3 kPa; and

(iii) which has a melting point or initial melting point of 20 °C or less at a standard pressure of 101,3 kPa;"

The CHIMEXANE HB, as placed on the marketed, meeting this definition, the substance as marketed, is considered as a liquid for the chemical safety assessment.
