Conclusion on classification

No experimental studies are available nor required. The substance has a water solubility of < 1.1 µg/L determined by the column elution method. Due to this high insolubility in water, aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur at the limit of the water solubility. Furthermore, the substance also biodegrades to a large extend (40 -50% in 28 days), lowering the environmental concentrations even further. It is also anticipated that the substance will hydrolyze forming cholesterol, which is a naturally occurring substance with no aquatic toxicity.

No classification for the environment is applicable.
