Description of key information
According to IARC monograph no. 111 (2017), evidence has been found that the responses of cells to MWCNT are modulated by their physico-chemical properties. The variability of the MWCNT employed in different studies gives rise to the discrepancies observed in biological outcomes. Therefore, MWCNT (including Graphistrength C100) other than MWCNT-7 (Muitsui) are not classifiable as to their carcinogenicity to humans (Group 3).
