Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Not applicable.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15
minutes, keeping eyelids open. Obtain medical attention
immediately.
Ensure that eyewash station and safety shower is proximal to
the workstation location.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and
shoes. Obtain medical attention if symptoms occur.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is
conscious). Get medical attention if symptoms appear.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: CO2 or Dry Chemical
Product arising from burning: In case of fire, may produce toxic and/or corrosive
decomposition products such as carbon monoxide, carbon
dioxide, hydrogen chloride, chlorine, chlorine compounds,
phosgene (COCl2).
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear suitable protective clothing. Self-contained breathing
apparatus. Boots.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Use suitable
protective equipment
Environmental precautions
Prevent entry into sewers, basements or confined areas; dike
if needed. In case of contamination of aquatic environment,
inform local authorities.
Clean-up Methods
Small spill and leak
Do not empty into drains. Vacuum or sweep up material and
place in a designated labelled waste container. Clean up
affected area with a large amount of water.
Large spill and leak
Prevent entry into sewers, basements or confined areas; dike
if needed. Use explosion-proof electrical equipment. Vacuum
or sweep up material and place in a designated labelled
waste container. Recycle, if possible.
Prevent formation of dust clouds. Avoid release to the
environment.
This material and its container must be disposed of as
hazardous waste.
Handling and storage
Handling: Use with adequate ventilation. Use suitable protective
equipment. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do
not allow to enter drains or watercourses.
Storage: Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental
contamination.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Tanktainer (22 m3)
