Workers - Hazard via inhalation route

Systemic effects

Long term exposure
Hazard assessment conclusion:
DNEL (Derived No Effect Level)
Value:
0.35 mg/m³
Most sensitive endpoint:
repeated dose toxicity
Route of original study:
Oral
DNEL related information
DNEL derivation method:
ECHA REACH Guidance
Overall assessment factor (AF):
25
Modified dose descriptor starting point:
NOAEC
Value:
8.8 mg/m³
Explanation for the modification of the dose descriptor starting point:
The dose descriptor of 10 mg/kg/day (NOAEL) from the 90-day oral gavage study in rats was used. This oral NOAEL was converted (via route-to-route extrapolation) to a corrected inhalation NOAEC using ECHA Guidance (see: R.8.4.2) and assuming ECHA default absorption values of 50% via the oral route of exposure and 100% via the inhalation route of exposure.
