- Sampling method: At the beginning of the test (duplicate samples from each testmedium and from the control) and after 48 and 96 hours (duplicate samples from each test medium with surviving fish. All samples were taken from the approximate center of the aquaria without mixing of the test media.

PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
- Method: the 2 highest concentrations were prepared by dissolving the exact amount of T002251 into 5 L of test water using ultrasonic treatment for 15 minutes and intense stirring for 90 minutes at room t°. Adequate volume of these two test media were diluted with test water to prepare the lower concentrations.

Conclusions:
The acute toxicity of of T002251 was investigated in a 96-h static fish test folllwing the OECD guideline 203. The 96-h LC50 was determined to be 18 mg T002251/L. The results of the test can be considered reliable without restriction.

Description of key information

The study of Seyfried (2004), investigating the acute toxicity of T002251 in Danio rerio according to OECD guideline 203, was considered as the key study for endpoint coverage. A LC50 = 18 mg/L was obtained after an exposure of 96 hours in a static test in freshwater. Based on the results it can be considered that T002251 is harmful to fish.
