Determination oft the boiling point

Determination

Measured boiling point

First Determination

201°C

Second Determination

201°C

Conclusions:
The boiling point of Hexyl isobutyrate was determined using the Siwoloboff method. A continuous rise of air bubbles could be observed at a temperature of 201°C and thus this temperature could be determined as the boiling temperature.

Description of key information

The boiling point of Hexyl isobutyrate was determined using the Siwoloboff method. A continuous rise of air bubbles could be observed at a temperature of 201°C at 101325 Pa and thus this temperature could be determined as the boiling temperature.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
201 °C
