Conclusions:
The surface tension of test item at 20 °C and at a concentration of 90 % of the water solubility was determined to be = 36.9 mN/m.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to OECD TG 115, Regulation (EC) No 440/2005 Part A, A.5, ASTM D1331-11 and ISO 304 (1985) to determine the surface tension of an aqueous solution of the test item using the ring method. For this purpose 100 mL double distilled water were added to 109.38 mg of the test item and stirred overnight to create an oversaturated solution. Due to the fact that the test item was not dissolved completely, the saturated solution was filtered to remove the remaining solid particles. Subsequently 90 mL of the filtered solution were diluted to 100 mL with double distilled water to create a solution with a concentration of about 90 % of the solubility. This solution was measured twice. The aqueous solution of the test item has a mean surface tension of 36.9 mN/m. Thus, the test item is to be regarded as surface active.
