- Conclusions:
- The surface tension of Reaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and n-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide aqueous solution (ca. 255 mg / 1000 mL) was
found to be 54.7, 53.8, 53.7, 54.3, 53.3 and 53.5 mN/m (resulting a mean value 54 mN/m) at 20 °C using the ring method.
As this value is lower than 60 mN/m, Reaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and
n-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide is classified as surface active. - Executive summary:
In the course of this study an aqueous solution ofReaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and n-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide witha concentration of ca. 255 mg/L was prepared. The surface tension of this solution was determined applying the ring method. The test was performed with the help of Krüss Easy Dyne type tensiometer.
The surface tension of Reaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and n-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide aqueous solution (ca. 255 mg / 1000 mL) was found to be54.7, 53.8, 53.7, 54.3, 53.3 and 53.5 mN/m (resulting a mean value 54 mN/m) atusing the ring method.
As this value is lower than 60 mN/m, Reaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and n-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide is classified as surface active.
